Here you'll find pictures and patterns for some of my knit designs (some free and some to buy) as well as vintage classics, plus knit-related blog posts.
This jacket is inspired by the silver screen glamour of the 1930s, and in particular, the style of Joan Crawford. Unashamedly decadent in silk, it would not look out of place at a smart cocktail party or gliding across a dancefloor.
I designed this hat to be worn by anyone who loves pom poms! A fun, modern design with a simple shape, I added some interest with oversized pom poms.
This is a pattern for a go-with-everything beret, inspired by the close fitting hat designs of the 1930s, which can be dressed up or down. The V-shaped open seam can be worn over the eye or at the nape of the neck.
A sweet knitted brooch, reminiscent of the 'Make Do and Mend' brooches of WW2.
The Moss Stitch Beret is a design I came up with whilst on train journeys to and from a vintage photo shoot for a knitting book. It was inspired by the hats of the 1930s, close-fitting and worn on the side of the head. The samples are knitted in different yarns, to show the versatility of the design, and the different drape each one has.
This is an original design for a crocheted beret, reminiscent of the berets worn by ladies on sea voyages in the 1930s.
This is an original pattern for a knitted brooch for your winter coat or a favourite knit. Inspired by the pretty brooches made and worn by women during World War II to cheer up tired, worn out rationed clothing.
